Hello Community Covenant Church of Goleta!

We hope you have been staying cool in this July heat. This Sunday we continue on the cool subject of prayer!

As we continue to explore the contours of prayer, we come to Jesus' exciting promise that if we ask for anything in his name we will always receive what we ask for. But is it really that simple? The answer to that question is one of the keys to Christian living!

There is so much happening at Community Covenant Church this summer, and we'd love for you to be part of it. Take a look at the opportunities below and join us as we worship the God who faithfully leads, guides, and transforms His people.

Kids in for Musical Worship all Summer!

As we head into the summer season, we're excited for a special opportunity for our kids and families to worship together as a church community. As a reminder, Kids Check-In has moved to the Welcome Tent for the summer, and our kids will join the congregation for musical worship before heading to their classes.

We love creating space for the next generation to see and experience the church worshipping together-singing, praying, and gathering as one family in Christ. We believe these moments help shape and disciple our kids as they learn what it means to follow Jesus alongside the larger church community.

Meet Ali Ozturk this Sunday!

Last fall, Pastor Eric and Karyn met Ali and Kaylee, church planters starting churches in the same area as the original seven churches named in the Book of Revelation! God is doing exciting and amazing things in Western Turkey, so we look forward to hearing from Pastor Ali this coming Sunday. You don't want to miss what he has to share with us about the work God is doing in places like Smyrna, Pergamum, and Thyatira.

Take the Next Step: Baptism at Goleta Beach

Have you been thinking about getting baptized?

Baptism is one of the most meaningful ways we publicly identify with Jesus Christ. It's a celebration of God's grace, a declaration of faith, and a powerful step of obedience as we follow Him.

On Sunday, August 2nd, our church family will gather at Goleta Beach for a special afternoon of baptisms, celebration, and a beach BBQ potluck. We are looking forward to rejoicing together as people share their stories and publicly declare their faith in Christ.

If you are considering baptism, we invite you to attend our Baptism Class on Sunday, July 19th, immediately following worship. This class is designed to help you understand the meaning and significance of baptism, answer any questions you may have, and help you discern whether this is the right next step in your faith journey.

If you're interested in learning more, simply fill out a Connect Card and write "I want to get baptized." One of our pastors will reach out and help you take the next steps.

We would be honored to walk alongside you as you take this important step of faith.

Check out our Book Donations!

Besides loaning books from our library for anyone interested, we now have books available that you can keep! Thanks to a generous donation, we have a selection of books on a table in the Fireside Room that you are free to take.

If you have a Christian book in good condition that you would like to add to the donation table, please contact Janice at Janice@comcov.org to arrange a drop-off.

? Just in Time for Summer Reading Fun! ?

? You Don't Have to Carry It Alone ?

Life can be beautiful, but it can also be heavy. Whether you're celebrating an answered prayer, facing a difficult season, carrying a burden, or simply needing encouragement, we want you to know that you are not alone.

At Community Covenant Church, we believe God hears prayer and that something powerful happens when God's people pray for one another.

Our Prayer Team is available after every service and would be honored to pray with you-whether your request feels big, small, or somewhere in between. No judgment. No pressure. Just people who care and want to seek God alongside you.

Can't stay after service? You can also submit a prayer request using the Prayer Request Tool below. Every request is received with care, prayed over faithfully, and treated with appropriate confidentiality.

Whatever you're carrying today, don't carry it by yourself. Let us pray with you.
