Hello Community Covenant Church of Goleta!

Welcome to another meaningful week at Community Covenant Church - and another sacred opportunity to gather as God's people. Each Sunday invites us to pause from the hurried rhythm of life, re-center our hearts on Jesus, and be reminded that we do not walk this journey of faith alone.

Whether Community Covenant has long been your church home or you are just beginning to get connected, we want you to know there is a place for you here. God continues to move in and through this community, and whenever we come together, we open ourselves to His presence, His shaping, and His grace - together.

As we move on in 1 Thessalonians, the topic of love is raised once again, but here the writers link it to our work lives. What is it that work has to do with love? We'll dig into that this Sunday.

God is moving at Community Covenant, and there are many ways to step in, connect, and grow. Take a moment to explore the updates below and see where God might be inviting you next.

Explore the Christian Heritage of England and Scotland!

Did you know that much of American Christianity was shaped by historic events in England and Scotland? This fall, Pastor Eric will be hosting a Christian heritage tour of key sites in both countries-and you're invited!

With 2026 marking the 500th anniversary of William Tyndale's English translation of the New Testament, this is a particularly meaningful time to go.

Last week, Pastor Eric hosted an informational meeting about the tour and will be offering another one in the near future. In the meantime, you can learn more by clicking the links below.

Stories: A Night of Worship & Testimony | Sunday, March 8 | 6:00-9:00 PM

We're excited to help spread the word about a powerful gathering for women happening here in Santa Barbara.

"Stories" is an evening where Christian women from across our city come together - beyond individual church congregations - to worship the Lord and share personal testimonies of His faithfulness. Women from multiple local churches are helping lead, pray, and serve, creating a beautiful picture of unity in the Body of Christ.

Throughout the evening, women will share their stories of God's work in their lives, culminating with author Kathy Christopher sharing her testimony. Last year, more than 300 women gathered, and it was an incredibly meaningful time of connection and encouragement.

This year's event will be held at Shoreline Church (935 San Andres St, Santa Barbara) with dedicated spaces for small group discussion and fellowship.

This is a FREE event, but reservations are requested.

We would love to see the women of Community Covenant there - and this could be a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend who may not yet know Jesus.

Let's continue building unity across our city and celebrating the stories of what God is doing among us.

Ladies Lunch Out | March 15, After Service

Community happens best around a table.

All women are invited for a relaxed lunch together at Natural Café on Hitchcock on Sunday, March 15, at 12:30 PM. After church, we'll simply head over and enjoy time together - no program, no pressure, just good food and great conversation.

Each woman will purchase her own lunch, making this an easy, no-prep way to build deeper friendships and welcome others into community.

Whether you've been part of Community Covenant for years or you're just getting connected, this is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen relationships, share stories, and grow together.

We hope you'll join us - and feel free to invite a friend!

? Women's Bible Study is up and running

Our Women's Bible Study is underway, and it's not too late to join! This 10-week journey through 1 & 2 Thessalonians is both practical and hope-filled, exploring questions many of us wrestle with:
How can I be sure of my purpose?
How can I know I'm truly loved?
How can I live with confidence in God's approval?

Groups meet on Monday evenings at 6:30pm or Wednesday mornings at 10:00am. Whether you're brand new to Bible study or have been following Jesus for years, this is a welcoming space to grow deeper in faith, build meaningful friendships, and study God's Word together.

Have questions or want to jump in? Fill out a Connect Card or stop by the Welcome Tent after the service-we'd love to help you get connected.

? Book Club in February

Do you enjoy reading and discussing ideas with others? Interested in what thoughtful Christian authors have to say about the life of faith?

Join the Community Covenant Book Club, which meets at 3:00 PM on the last Wednesday of every month in the Media Room at the church. Our next meeting is February 25, and we'll be reading and discussing In His Image by Jen Wilkin.

The Book Club is open to all. For more information, contact Jean Marie Schultz at jean_schultz@ucsb.edu

? Need Prayer? We've Got You Covered! ?

Feeling overwhelmed or in need of extra support? We're here for you. Our prayer team would be honored to pray with you after the service-whether you're facing something big or simply need encouragement.

You can also submit a request through our Prayer Request Tool (see the blue button below). Every request is handled with love, care, and compassion.

Let's connect through the power of prayer. You don't have to walk this journey alone. ??
