Welcome to another wonderful week of worshiping God together! Although this week has been especially hot, God's goodness continues to be seen throughout the life of our church. Journey Men's Ministry is underway, Life Groups are beginning, members of our church family are traveling together through the United Kingdom, and each Sunday we have the joy of gathering for worship.
We often assume that forgiveness is easy for God-that He can simply overlook our sin as we might forgive someone for a minor offense. But forgiveness is neither simple nor without cost. In Exodus 34:1-8, we encounter one of the central questions of the Bible: How can a holy and just God forgive guilty people?

Women's Bible Study | September 28
Women's Bible study is starting up a 7 week study of "Daring Joy" by Nicole Zasowski. This study will offer through-provoking questions and exercises to help you engage with 6 women in the Bible and apply their enduring joy to your life. ?
Joy can feel risky. When you've experienced pain of any kind, it can feel easier not to dream than to be disappointed, or not to hope than to be left heartbroken. If you ever feel like it's safer not to embrace joy at all than to hold something that might break, you're not alone. Thankfully, the Bible paints a different picture-one that gives you the courage to hold on to joy regardless of your circumstances.
This study has a short video (each less than 20 minutes), where Nicole will share some insights with us. We will also spend some time in small groups together, in discussion and prayer.
We will be selling books at the church starting on September 20. Scholarships are available. Books are $17 (Cash, check or Venmo)

Our Kids Ministry is more than childcare-it's an opportunity to help children know they are loved by God, grow in their faith, and discover what it means to follow Jesus.
Some of our faithful teachers are navigating circumstances that will keep them from serving for a season, and we need others to step in and help fill the gaps. If you have a heart for children and can serve one Sunday a month-or even just one Sunday-we would love to have you join us.

This is the last movie we will be offering for awhile so we moved it to Saturday so more people could enjoy. So bring friends and family to enjoy this PG-13 movie featuring Ryan Gosling as science teacher Ryland Grace wakes up on a spaceship with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory slowly returns, he soon discovers he must solve the riddle behind a mysterious substance that's causing the sun to die out. As details of the mission unravel, he calls on his scientific training and sheer ingenuity -- but he may not have to do it alone.
