Hello Community Covenant Church of Goleta!

Happy 4th of July Weekend! We hope you have been having a fantastic week and are having the opportunity to celebrate this holiday weekend with great community and some good Food! This Sunday we dive into Romans!

This Sunday, we'll explore Romans 12:1-2 and discover that the gospel is about more than what God saves us from-it's also about what He saves us for. Join us as we trace the story of Scripture and see how Jesus is restoring us to become what we were always created to be.

There is so much happening at Community Covenant Church this summer, and we'd love for you to be part of it. Take a look at the opportunities below and join us as we worship the God who faithfully leads, guides, and transforms His people.

Kids in for Musical Worship all Summer!

As we head into the summer season, we're excited for a special opportunity for our kids and families to worship together as a church community. As a reminder, Kids Check-In has moved to the Welcome Tent for the summer, and our kids will join the congregation for musical worship before heading to their classes.

We love creating space for the next generation to see and experience the church worshipping together-singing, praying, and gathering as one family in Christ. We believe these moments help shape and disciple our kids as they learn what it means to follow Jesus alongside the larger church community.

Take the Next Step: Baptism at Goleta Beach

Have you been thinking about getting baptized?

Baptism is one of the most meaningful ways we publicly identify with Jesus Christ. It's a celebration of God's grace, a declaration of faith, and a powerful step of obedience as we follow Him.

On Sunday, August 2nd, our church family will gather at Goleta Beach for a special afternoon of baptisms, celebration, and a beach BBQ potluck. We are looking forward to rejoicing together as people share their stories and publicly declare their faith in Christ.

If you are considering baptism, we invite you to attend our Baptism Class on Sunday, July 19th, immediately following worship. This class is designed to help you understand the meaning and significance of baptism, answer any questions you may have, and help you discern whether this is the right next step in your faith journey.

If you're interested in learning more, simply fill out a Connect Card and write "I want to get baptized." One of our pastors will reach out and help you take the next steps.

We would be honored to walk alongside you as you take this important step of faith.

Join us July 16th for a heartwarming movie!

Yes, we moved from Tuesday to Thursday and yes, there will be popcorn and yes, it is still free! We will be showing Sound of Hope: Story of Possum Trot at 1pm in the Youth Room. Inspired by the powerful true story, the movie follows Donna and Reverend Martin as they ignite a fire in the hearts of their rural church to embrace kids in the foster system that nobody else would take. By doing the impossible-adopting 77 children-this East Texas community proved that, with real, determined love, the battle for America's most vulnerable can be won.

? You Don't Have to Carry It Alone ?

Life can be beautiful, but it can also be heavy. Whether you're celebrating an answered prayer, facing a difficult season, carrying a burden, or simply needing encouragement, we want you to know that you are not alone.

At Community Covenant Church, we believe God hears prayer and that something powerful happens when God's people pray for one another.

Our Prayer Team is available after every service and would be honored to pray with you-whether your request feels big, small, or somewhere in between. No judgment. No pressure. Just people who care and want to seek God alongside you.

Can't stay after service? You can also submit a prayer request using the Prayer Request Tool below. Every request is received with care, prayed over faithfully, and treated with appropriate confidentiality.

Whatever you're carrying today, don't carry it by yourself. Let us pray with you.
